Resale and inventory
Keep resale profit and stock in one readable record
A practical way to see take-home profit, leftover stock, and what still needs counting — without pretending a spreadsheet or a small app is your accountant.
Flea-market and small-lot sellers often know the sale price but not the leftover after fees, shipping, and purchase cost. Stock lives in another note, so unsold inventory quietly becomes forgotten cash.
Who this is for
- People selling on flea-market apps or handmade marketplaces
- Small shops that count stock by hand a few times a month
- Sellers who want a clearer monthly profit picture before talking to a tax professional
What usually goes wrong on paper
- Sale price is written down, but fees and shipping are remembered later and often guessed.
- Unsold stock is not connected to the purchase cost of each item.
- Marketplace totals and a paper notebook never quite match.
What to look for in a record
- Record sale price, fees, shipping, and purchase cost on the same row.
- Keep leftover stock visible, not only completed sales.
- Export a simple CSV when you need to review a month.
- Do not expect the tool to decide what is deductible or how to file.
Pomeranian Studio templates and apps are record-keeping tools. They are not tax, accounting, or legal advice, and they do not prepare a tax return.
FAQ
Can I use this if I sell on more than one marketplace?
Yes. Treat the marketplace as a field you fill in. The useful part is one row per item, not a separate book per app.
Is the download an Excel workbook or a PDF?
The current download is a CSV file. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets, and similar apps. There is no macro-enabled workbook.
